WEATHER REPORT for Reunion weekend.
We've had a request for Reunion Weather Report!! It's very beautiful right now in Branson, MO... but a few scattered showers possible? Google again for any changes:)

You may need to bring an umbrella, but we are going to have a fun time at SDC!! Please make sure you have your ID (both parents) and check in under the group name... AWAA Africa Adoption Reunion!!! You will pay & pick up your tickets at the Guest Relations.
BTW, don't feel any pressure to meet up or walk around as a group... it would be hard for 100 of us to hold hands:))
Hosts will meet those that are there at 10am at the old country chapel inside the park (walk to the left) and say hi!! You can start your fun as soon as the park opens & stay till closing time (7PM) SDC ends with a big show at 6PM... this is YOUR time. Plan on having a blast as a family!!

Saturday Events
Families are welcome to come to the Morning Welcome to chat, check in with hosts if you have questions, or to group up with other families to plan your own events for the day. Those who wish to come back together in the evening can do so by attending the Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Theater. Details will be given about the theater at the Meet and Greet and Morning Welcome. Also if it is raining on Saturday evening the outdoor theater will be closed.
What to wear
Labor Day weekend in the Ozarks may still be warm with cool evenings. You may want to bring a mix of clothing and light jacket. Bring swimsuits for Friday evening at the pool if you would like.
Payment for Friday and Monday
If you are not attending the Friday and Monday events you will not need to pay the $30 per family. However if you are attending one of these events please connect with a host prior to the reunion so details can be worked out with your family.
REC PLEX PARK IS THE WINNER:))
On Monday, we'll meet at the park at 11:00AM for fun & picnic. There is a Chili's to go, Walmart Supercenter- Subway, Wendy's and Target all in one spot. Thank you for voting.

We are sooo thrilled for those who can stay Monday!!
Due to the small number of families (10 families- 47 total:) staying Monday, we are no longer able to have our lunch catered at the park. We are happy that we can spend time and say good-bye Ozark style!!
We need to VOTE....
#1 Families meet 11:00AM at Dana's BBQ and eat together at the restaurant. (Rainy Plan B- is still on)
Families would be responsible for their own meals & drinks.
It's open to the public and it is a popular spot, so we may not ALL be able to sit together, but its one big room!! It opens up at 11AM so we should be OK.

SATURDAY AT DINO'S BAKERY AND COFFEE SHOP!
AW families...
World famous pianist Dino Kartsonakis and his wife Cheryl will be at their bakery, Dino's 24 Karrot Cake Co at Chappy Mall 10:00 AM Saturday morning to personally meet you!!! They are sooo excited to have everyone stop by for coffee, homemade cinnamon rolls that are to die for, as well as many other goodies to eat. They will open up their party room for us to sit around and visit.
After breakfast, we can all go over to the Landing and walk around or shop:))

FRIDAY MEET&GREET NEW LOCATION!!!
AWAA families....
I'm so thrilled to share our new location for Friday's Meet & Greet!! It was a huge surprise to receive the confirmation for us to use Payne Stewart's Country Club pool and outdoor eating area!!
The club has a kiddie pool and adult/kid pool, as well as comfortable seating and a perfect eating spot for our families.
They even told us if its raining, we can use their indoor party room!!
We will still meet at 6PM and stay till we're all wrinkled and tired:))

Silver Dollar City.... FINAL UPDATE!! Important news.

I just got off the phone with one of the "owners" of Silver Dollar City. They are bending backwards for our reunion families and we are very grateful. Here's what went wrong on my end. I misunderstood a crucial email from SDC that stated they wanted to offer a special discount for our parents and their adoptive children. I meshed ALL our kiddos together. Ooops!
Obviously, they are not trying to offend our families, but due to the busy Labor Day weekend and very strict park rules, they could not offer the $10 for all your children.
Here's the bending backwards part... they are going to give your biological children a special rate of $20.69 per child over 3. Any child under 3 is free.
Parents- $10 per person
Adopted Child- $10 per child
Biological Child- $20.69 per child
children 3-0 free
Example for special rates: Here's what the Gibson family would pay
Roger- $10
Kari- $10
Michael- 16, bio $20.69
Hannah- 13, bio $20.69
Zoie- free
Here's the info I need by Sunday, 23rd. Every family will need to be accounted for electronically. SDC staff are very strict with their rules: Parents, you will need your photo ID's when you check in at Guest Services, as well as identifying each of your children. Everyone receives a hand stamp and VIP pass to enter the park. You will pay at the Guest Services (cash or credit)
*I need parent's first & last name. $10 per person
*I need the first NAME of your adoptive children and AGES.
$10 per child (free under 3)

Shirts
GREETINGS!!! I have not gotten anymore information about toddler shirts, so it is looking like something we will not be able to order. If you want a shirt, please make your order and pay before 8:00 pm CST as I will be making the order tonight. The sizes are adult XL-S and youth L-S. They are a basic unisex t shirt.
